WW3-vs-Civil War

What The Hell 2026? A Vibe Check on WW3 vs. Civil War

It’s a weird time to be alive, I mean …. 2026 start has been rough. The Doomsday Clock feels like it’s vibrating. Between the “Operation Caracas” raid last week, the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, and the White House tweeting in all caps about Iran, the vibes are… bad. So, let’s play a game called “Are We Doomed?” I’m going to look at the facts (and the panic) to answer the two questions flooding my DMs: Are we starting WW3 vs Civil War?

Let’s keep it light (as light as impending doom can be).

Scenario A: World War III (The External Threat)

The US military is feeling very confident right now. After the lightning-fast success of the Venezuela raid, the hawks in Washington are looking for the next target. And all eyes are on Iran.

1. The Iran “Big Red Button”

  • The Situation: Protests in Tehran are out of control. The regime is wobbling.
  • The Threat: The White House just stated they are “Locked and Loaded” to intervene if the protests get violent.
  • The Risk: This isn’t 2003. Iran has friends. If we strike Tehran, we aren’t just fighting them; we are poking the bear (Russia) and the dragon (China).
  • Raza’s Vibe Check: High Tension, Low Likelihood of Full War. Why? Because nobody can afford it. Oil is already spiking. A war with Iran sends gas to $8/gallon. That kills economies. We might see airstrikes, but boots on the ground? Unlikely.

2. The Russia-Israel Breakup

  • The Situation: Russia and Israel used to be “frenemies.” That’s over. Russia is now openly threatening Israel over their strikes in Syria and their stance on Ukraine.
  • The Risk: If a Russian asset gets hit by an Israeli missile, Putin has promised “consequences.”
  • Raza’s Vibe Check: This is mostly noise. Russia is too busy in Eastern Europe to open a second front in the Middle East. They are barking, not biting.

3. The China Factor (The Adult in the Room)

  • The Situation: Everyone thinks China is about to invade Taiwan.
  • The Reality: China is currently looking at the US and Russia and thinking, “You guys are messy.” They are playing the long game. They are focused on their economy (the “Anti-Involution” policy).
  • Raza’s Vibe Check: China won’t start WW3 in 2026. They are happy to watch the US burn its cash fighting everywhere else.

Global War Verdict: 3/10. It’s loud, but it’s mostly posturing.

Scenario B: US Civil War (The Internal Threat)

This is the one that actually keeps me up at night. We aren’t worried about Red Dawn; we are worried about our neighbors.

1. The ICE “Army”

  • The Flashpoint: The shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis last week changed the conversation.
  • The Shift: We are seeing Federal Agents (ICE) acting like a domestic military force. When suburban moms are getting pulled out of cars at gunpoint, the “This isn’t America” argument dies.
  • The Reaction: Half the country thinks it’s “Law and Order.” The other half sees it as “Tyranny.” There is no middle ground anymore.

2. The “Great Divorce”

  • The Reality: We aren’t going to have a Civil War like 1861 with armies in fields.
  • The New War: We are heading for a “Soft Secession.” Red States and Blue States are effectively becoming different countries. Different laws, different economies, different realities.
  • The Risk: The danger isn’t a battlefield; it’s sporadic violence. It’s Portland vs. The Feds. It’s Texas vs. The Border Patrol. It’s messy, unorganized chaos.

Domestic War Verdict: 6/10. We are already in a “Cold” Civil War. The temperature is just dropping.

The Final Verdict

So, are we doomed? Probably not.

History teaches us that humans are surprisingly good at brinkmanship. We walk up to the edge of the cliff, look down, realize jumping would hurt our stock portfolios, and step back.

My Advice:

  1. Stop doom-scrolling.
  2. Don’t argue with bots on Twitter.
  3. Maybe buy that Walking Pad I mentioned on Tuesday. If the world ends, at least you’ll be in shape.

Enjoy the weekend. Don’t build a bunker just yet.
